Chelsea Anna Cates moved from the classrooms of Baylor to the legal profession with a clear set of skills. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing from Baylor University and completed her J.D. at Baylor Law School in 2018. Her legal training at Baylor Law School emphasized practical skills alongside doctrine. Course work and clinical experiences sharpened her research and drafting. She left law school in 2018 prepared to translate complex legal issues into plain language for judges and clients alike.
Cates is licensed to practice in Texas and works at Zinda Law Group, PLLC. At the firm she handles matters that require detailed pleadings and precise courtroom filings. Her background in professional writing plays into her day-to-day work: she drafts motions, prepares discovery responses and crafts client correspondence in a concise style.
