About Chase Austin

Chase Austin Elliott built his legal foundation at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004. He returned to the Southeast for law school and received his J.D. from the Charleston School of Law in 2008. Those years shaped his approach to practice: direct, practical and grounded in the law he would soon apply every day.

Elliott began his legal career in South Carolina and moved into private practice soon after graduating. In 2009 he became a partner at Kulp & Elliott. That early elevation to partnership placed him at the center of the firm’s work, and he has since remained a steady presence there. His years at the firm span routine client matters as well as more complex files that require methodical preparation and consistent client communication.

He is licensed to practice in South Carolina and has spent his career working under that jurisdiction’s laws and procedures. Clients have sought his services for matters that arise under state law, and he has built a practice attuned to the local courts and administrative processes. His daily work involves drafting pleadings and agreements, appearing before judges and tribunals, and advising clients on procedural and substantive questions that affect outcomes.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and accessible. He favors clear explanations over legal jargon. That approach makes his courtroom presentations and client consultations easier to follow. He also places weight on careful preparation; files often reflect a focus on chronology, documentation and a deliberate assessment of legal options before decisive steps are taken.

Beyond casework, Elliott’s path reflects continuity. He has remained at the same firm since becoming partner, which has allowed him to develop long-term client relationships and institutional knowledge about recurring legal issues in the region. That continuity underpins how he manages cases and allocates resources when matters require staffing and strategic planning.

Now in 2026 he continues to practice at Kulp & Elliott in South Carolina. He handles a range of matters governed by South Carolina law and represents clients from initial intake through resolution in court or settlement.
