About Charlotte

Charlotte Ruble has built a steady career in the law that moves from courtroom procedure to private practice leadership. She began in the courts, serving as a law clerk at the Superior Court of Cherokee County, Georgia in 2009. The following year she took a clerkship with the firm Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn, and Dial. Those early positions put her in the center of legal research and the daily mechanics of litigation.

In 2011 Ruble entered private practice as an associate at Smith, Gilliam, Williams, and Miles. She spent that period adapting courtroom experience to client-facing work and the rhythms of firm life. Two years later she joined Meriwether & Tharp, LLC as a partner. The move marked a shift from an associate role into firm leadership and long-term client management.

Her resume traces a conventional path through the legal profession: court clerkships, an associate position at a regional firm, then partnership. Each step added different demands. Clerking required close attention to legal analysis and procedure. Work at a smaller firm meant learning the administrative and client-service side of practice. As a partner, responsibilities broadened to include case strategy, client counseling, and mentoring junior lawyers.

Ruble’s career has been steady rather than theatrical. She has remained in practice through changes in the legal market and in firm structure. That steadiness is reflected in her long tenure at Meriwether & Tharp, LLC, where she has been a partner since 2013. Colleagues and clients have relied on that continuity when matters require institutional knowledge of firm operations and past files.

Today she continues to work from the Meriwether & Tharp offices. Her practice is centered on representing the firm’s clients and managing matters assigned to her group within the firm. She is active in the daily practice of law at Meriwether & Tharp, LLC.
