About Charles W.
Charles W. Siragusa earned his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1971 after completing a bachelor’s degree in political science and government at Northwestern in 1967. Those formative years combined classroom study of government with professional legal training. They set the stage for a practice shaped by courtroom work and firm-based litigation over several decades.
Siragusa began his legal career in private practice in the mid-1970s. In 1974 he worked at Peterson, Ross, Schloerb & Seidel. Four years later he joined Crowley, Barrett & Karaba Ltd., where he moved into litigation work by 1982. His time at Crowley, Barrett & Karaba included membership on the firm’s executive committee in 1993. That role placed him in the firm’s leadership as he continued to handle trial and pretrial matters for clients.
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s Siragusa maintained a steady litigation practice. Records list him in litigation roles and later as part of firm management. He remained based in Illinois and practiced under the state’s rules. He also maintained active ties to professional groups, holding current memberships in bar or trade associations.
In 2005 Siragusa opened a solo practice, establishing the Law Office of Charles W. Siragusa. The move shifted him from firm partnership structures to a smaller office environment where he could manage client relationships directly. His practice reflects a long career handling contested matters and advising clients on litigation strategy.
Siragusa’s educational background in political science and law informs his approach to cases. The political science degree provided a broader view of institutions and policy. Law school built the doctrinal and procedural skills he would use in court and at the negotiating table. Colleagues from his firm years recall a steady, practice-oriented lawyer who combined bench and board responsibilities.
He is admitted to practice in Illinois and has spent his career working in that jurisdiction. Today he operates the Law Office of Charles W. Siragusa, representing clients in Illinois and handling litigation and related legal work.
