About Charles

Charles Pearson built a steady academic foundation before entering the practice of law. He earned a B.A. in Political Science and Government from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2004. He continued in the same field with an M.A. from Portland State University, awarded in 2008. He later completed a J.D. at Florida Coastal School of Law in 2014.

After law school, Pearson pursued a career that spans several state lines. He is admitted to practice in Washington, Georgia, Florida, Oregon and Tennessee. That multi-jurisdictional admission reflects a practice that often touches on matters crossing state boundaries. He holds membership in the State Bar of Georgia.

His work centers on disputes arising from property insurance and claims handling. He represents individuals and entities in matters involving coverage determinations, claim denials, and the interpretation of insurance policy language. That work includes both negotiations with insurers and contested proceedings when parties cannot reach agreement. He handles factual and legal issues common to property loss claims, including questions about causation, coverage exclusions and the scope of restoration obligations.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing cases. He tends to break complex insurance provisions into discrete issues that can be argued clearly. He balances document review and factual investigation with efforts to resolve disputes short of trial when that outcome is realistic. When litigation becomes necessary, he pursues remedies available under applicable law in the jurisdictions where he is admitted.

Pearson practices from an office associated with Property Claims Lawyers. His work requires attention to procedural rules across several states and to the particular terms of individual insurance contracts. He continues to handle property claims and related insurance disputes in his current practice focus.
