Charles Kevin Stoddard is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar on December 13, 1993,. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Stoddard is the owner and founder of Paladin Legal Defenders, a criminal defense firm located at 221 Main Street, Suite Q, Huntington Beach, California. He has been practicing law for over 32 years, serving clients throughout Southern California.
Mr. Stoddard earned his Juris Doctor degree from the William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 1993. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1990. During his time at UCLA, he graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the College Honors Program.
Mr. Stoddard concentrates his practice in the area of criminal defense law. He represents individuals in matters involving drug crimes, fraud, gun crimes, internet crimes, sex crimes, theft, and violent crimes. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Stoddard has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He has also appeared before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at the Law Offices of Bruce Bridgman from 1994 to 2004.
Mr. Stoddard is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He has been recognized by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, earning membership in the Nation’s Top One Percent in 2015 and 2018. He is also a member of the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys, being named among the best criminal defense attorneys in the State of California since 2015. Mr. Stoddard is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Southern California effectively.
