About Charles Arthur
Charles Arthur Bennett built a path to the law that began in the sciences. He earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and mathematics from Midwestern State University in 2001, then returned to school and completed his J.D. at SMU Dedman School of Law in 2014. The education mix gives him a practical, detail-oriented approach in the courtroom and at the negotiating table.
After law school he entered private practice and established himself as a trial lawyer working in state and federal forums. He is admitted to practice in Texas and holds credentials to appear before the Federal Circuit and the United States Court of Federal Claims. Those admissions allow him to pursue cases that cross state and federal lines and to handle appeals when cases move beyond trial courts.
Bennett has been active in professional organizations since the mid-2010s. He joined local and national bar and trial groups in 2015, including the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association. He later became part of the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 and the Southern Trial Lawyers Association. He uses those memberships to stay current on litigation trends and procedural developments.
Outside of private practice he has volunteered time in community programs. In 2016 he served as a Teen Court judge and mentor for Wylie Teen Court, working with young people on restorative justice projects and civic education. The experience complements his courtroom work and reflects an interest in legal education and community engagement.
He leads Bennett Injury Law, where he handles injury claims and related litigation. He represents clients in state court and pursues matters in federal venues as needed. His work includes trials and appellate practice in forums such as the Federal Circuit and the United States Court of Federal Claims. He maintains an active trial calendar and participates in bar and trial organizations while running his practice.
