About Channelle Kizy

Channelle Kizy White grew up studying numbers and people. She earned a B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor in 1999 and completed her J.D. at Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2003. Early on she added formal training in family law through a certificate program at the Institute of Continuing Education.

Her legal career began in private practice. In 2005 she joined Neil Rockind, P.C. as an associate. She worked on matters that took her into court and into client consultations. In 2009 she moved to Beals Hubbard, PLC where she continued as an associate and broadened her day-to-day practice.

Later in 2009 she launched her own firm, Channelle Kizy, PLLC. As owner, she has managed the business side of a small law office while handling individual client matters. Running the firm required balancing client contact, court appearances and the administrative responsibilities of ownership. The firm has provided a base for her continued work in Michigan courts.

White has pursued continuing education and professional affiliations throughout her career. She holds a Family Law Certificate from the Institute of Continuing Education. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association. Her memberships also include the Criminal Defense Lawyers of Michigan and the United States District Courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. She has maintained connections to community and professional groups, including the Chaldean American Bar Association and the Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce.

Her community involvement extends beyond bar activities. Since 2012 she has served as treasurer of the Patriot Week Foundation. Between 2009 and 2016 she held several positions on the board of directors of the Women’s Bar Association. She has also been listed as a member of the Michigan Inter-Professional Association since 2016.

Clients encounter an attorney who mixes courtroom experience with local community ties. Her background in economics informs how she approaches financial issues in family matters. Memberships in criminal defense circles and federal court associations reflect ongoing engagement with a range of case types in Michigan.

Her current practice focuses on family law and criminal defense matters in Michigan.
