About Chad A.

Chad A. Greer earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Southern Methodist University in 1990 and completed his legal education at the University of Tulsa, receiving his J.D. in 1995. Those formative years set the tone for a career split between local and federal work. He studied in two different academic environments and moved into public service soon after law school.

His first post after earning his law degree was in the Tulsa County District Lawyer's Office, where he served as an Assistant District Lawyer beginning in 1995. There he worked on matters the office assigned, gained courtroom exposure and learned how a county prosecutor’s office operates day to day. The position provided practical trial experience and regular contact with judges, defense lawyers and law enforcement.

In 2000 he took a position in the United States Lawyer's Office as an Assistant United States Lawyer. That role brought him into the federal system and expanded the scope of cases he handled. The move added appellate work and federal procedure to his repertoire. It also meant working within a different institutional set of rules and collaborating with federal agencies on investigations and prosecutions.

After years in public service, he established The Greer Law Office. He is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and before the Tenth Circuit, and he draws on both state and federal experience in his current work. His background in county and federal offices informs how he approaches litigation, from pretrial strategy to courtroom presentation. Colleagues and clients see a lawyer who has navigated municipal, county and federal processes over the course of a multi-decade career.

He continues to practice at The Greer Law Office, where he represents clients in state and federal courts and handles litigation and related matters.
