About Catherine T
Catherine T Luong came to law after studying human behavior. She earned a B.A. in Psychology (Cognitive Sciences) from the University of California, Irvine and later completed her J.D. at Whittier Law School. Those academic steps set the stage for a career that has moved between casework and firm management.
Early in her legal career Luong worked as an associate at Ambrosi & Doerges, APC. She then took on a leadership role as managing lawyer at Beling & Associates, Inc., where she oversaw daily operations and supervised legal staff. After that stint she returned to associate-level practice at the Law Offices of David Kozich, handling client matters and contributing to courtroom preparation.
Her time in both associate and managerial roles gave her a broad view of how law firms operate and how cases proceed from intake to resolution. Colleagues describe her as someone who handles the administrative demands of a practice while also maintaining a caseload. She has dealt with document drafting, client counseling, motion practice and trial preparation. That mix of responsibilities has informed how she approaches problem solving for clients.
Luong’s work history shows movement across small and mid-size firm settings. She has shifted between team-based roles and positions that required independent decision-making. The managing lawyer role required budgeting, staff oversight and the establishment of internal procedures. The associate roles demanded courtroom readiness and client contact. Together they reflect a pragmatic blend of practice management and hands-on legal work.
Catherine T Luong now practices at Shoup Legal. Her background in both managing a law office and serving as an associate shapes how she handles files and client relationships today. She currently practices at Shoup Legal. Her practice focuses on client representation and the day-to-day legal work that brings cases to resolution.
