About Catherine E.
Catherine E. Pierce graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in 2018. She moved directly into law school and earned her J.D. from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2021. Her academic record reflects a concentrated period of study from undergraduate work into professional training.
After law school, Pierce became licensed to practice in both Indiana and Kentucky. She joined Barrow Brown, PLLC, where she has built practical experience advising clients and handling matters that arise in those jurisdictions. Her work has required attention to procedural detail and an ability to manage competing deadlines.
Pierce’s time in law school coincided with a busy calendar for incoming attorneys. She completed a three-year course of study at Brandeis and graduated in 2021. That program provided training in legal research, writing, and courtroom procedure. Those tools now inform how she prepares filings and counsels clients on next steps.
Since entering practice, Pierce has focused on applying those fundamentals in real cases. She is admitted to practice in two neighboring states and regularly addresses issues that cross state lines. Her caseload has given her exposure to state court rules and local procedure, and she has developed familiarity with the practical demands of representing clients in both Indiana and Kentucky.
Colleagues describe Pierce as methodical and attentive to fact development. She approaches each matter by assembling the record and laying out options for clients. She spends time on case preparation and on communicating those options plainly. Those habits have guided the early years of her practice.
Outside the office, Pierce’s background in Cincinnati and Louisville shapes how she views regional legal issues. Her undergraduate and legal studies took place in two different Ohio Valley communities. That regional perspective informs her approach to matters that require understanding multiple local practices.
Today Pierce continues her work at Barrow Brown, PLLC. She represents clients in matters arising in Indiana and Kentucky and handles the everyday tasks of litigation and client counseling across those jurisdictions.
