Ms. Schwartz earned her Juris Doctor degree from Western State University College of Law in San Diego, California, graduating in 1991. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at Philadelphia Christian College, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science in 1980. During her time at Western State University, she was recognized for her academic achievements and graduated with honors.
Ms. Schwartz concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, criminal defense, and juvenile law. She represents individuals and families in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic violence. Her criminal defense practice includes handling cases related to drug charges, DUI/DWI, theft, and violent crimes. Additionally, she has experience in juvenile dependency and delinquency cases, advocating for children and families in the juvenile justice system. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Schwartz has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Riverside, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at Blumenthal Law Offices in Riverside from 2007 to 2011. Before that, she served as a Deputy Public Defender for Riverside County from 1994 to 2007, handling all aspects of criminal defense, including serious felony cases. She also supervised the juvenile unit during her tenure as a public defender.
Ms. Schwartz is an active member of the Riverside County Bar Association and the San Bernardino County Bar Association. She has been involved in various community organizations, including serving as the staff attorney for the Riverside County Human Trafficking Task Force and being a member of the Board of Directors for Operation Safehouse and Queen of Hearts Therapeutic Riding. She is also a distinguished graduate of the City of Riverside’s Leadership Riverside Class of 2010, which provided her with the opportunity to develop leadership skills within the community.
