About Casey W.
Casey W. Stevens built a legal career that moves from corporate law firms to a small-firm practice in Alpharetta. He has kept a steady presence in Georgia courts over more than two decades. His work centers on representing clients in injury cases and on courtroom advocacy.
Stevens earned his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 1998 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management at the University of South Florida in 1989. The combination of a finance undergraduate degree and a legal education informs the way he approaches case evaluation, damages analysis and settlement talks.
He began his legal practice at Swift, Currie, McGhee and Hiers in 1999. The firm exposed him to litigation practice in a larger firm setting. In 2000 he moved to Appelbaum & Associates, where he continued to hone trial skills and client counseling in civil matters. Those early years provided courtroom experience and a practical sense of how insurance defense and plaintiff-side cases are run.
In 2001 Stevens opened his own practice. He listed himself as Owner and Lead Counsel at Casey W. Stevens Law: Alpharetta Personal Injury and Car Accident Lawyers. Over time he has focused on handling personal injury and automobile accident claims. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, which allows him to file federal actions when needed.
He also maintains credentials outside the courtroom. Stevens is a Certified Mediator through Miles Mediation, a qualification he uses in negotiated resolutions and pretrial dispute resolution. He holds memberships in the Georgia State Bar and has been active in professional organizations that address trial practice and plaintiffs’ advocacy. He has been a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association since 2001, and has belonged to the American Association for Justice since 2001 as well.
Clients and colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prepares cases for court while still pursuing settlement when it serves a client’s interests. He runs a practice based in Alpharetta under the name Casey W. Stevens Law: Alpharetta Personal Injury and Car Accident Lawyers. He currently focuses his practice on personal injury and car accident cases.
