About Casey K.
Casey K. Carlson earned his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1989. He completed his legal education at a time when the profession was changing rapidly. That early training set the stage for a career that spans work across multiple jurisdictions and the offices of a single, long-established firm.
After law school Carlson joined Carlson Meissner Hart & Hayslett, P.A., where he has been associated with the firm through much of his career. His tenure at the firm has involved serving clients from more than one of the firm's locations. Over the years he has built a practice that reflects the multi-jurisdictional character of his admissions and the institutional setting of a regional firm.
Carlson is admitted to practice in Florida and before the Colorado Bar. Those dual admissions allow him to advise and represent clients whose matters cross state lines. He has maintained current membership in professional associations, staying active in the organized bar and in peer networks that support day-to-day practice.
Colleagues describe Carlson as steady and pragmatic. He favors clear legal writing and straightforward courtroom presentations. He tends to approach problems by breaking them down into manageable steps. That methodical style has informed how he handles client interactions and case strategy.
Within the firm Carlson has worked alongside other experienced attorneys, drawing on the institutional resources of Carlson Meissner Hart & Hayslett, P.A. to handle matters that require coordination among different offices. He has been part of teams that manage complex scheduling and procedural requirements when a case touches more than one jurisdiction.
Outside the office he has remained connected to the professional community. His current association memberships reflect ongoing engagement with colleagues and continuing legal education requirements. He has balanced those commitments with the demands of a practice that serves both local and out-of-state clients.
Now practicing in 2026, Carlson continues at Carlson Meissner Hart & Hayslett, P.A., where he works across the firm’s offices and draws on his admissions in Florida and Colorado to serve clients whose matters span state lines. His current practice focuses on providing counsel and representation in matters that require multi-jurisdictional experience.
