About Casey
Casey Davis grew up in Plano and completed high school at Plano Senior High School before heading to the University of North Texas, where he earned a B.S. in Education in 1996. He returned to Texas law study at Texas A&M University School of Law and received his J.D. in 2003. The path from education degree to law school shaped a practitioner who understands both community roots and courtroom procedure.
After law school, Davis built a career in criminal justice that has included work on both sides of the aisle. In 2008 he served as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Tarrant County District Lawyer’s Office. That patrol of public service gave him daily contact with courtroom practice and the prosecutorial process. The experience informed his later decisions and taught lessons about case preparation, witness handling, and trial pacing.
Also in 2008, Davis began practicing as a criminal defense lawyer under the name Casey Davis Law. He shifted from the government role to private practice, where he represents people facing criminal charges. His practice handles a range of criminal matters at different stages, from pretrial negotiations to trials. He often draws on his time in the district lawyer’s office when evaluating evidence and anticipating prosecutorial strategies.
Membership in professional groups has continued alongside his practice. Davis is a current member of the Texas State Bar. He belongs to the Collin County Bar Association and holds a fellowship in the Collin County Bench/Bar Foundation. He also maintains membership in the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. These affiliations keep him connected to local courts and to colleagues across the state.
Colleagues describe Davis as methodical in preparing cases and straightforward in court. He prefers clear legal briefs and direct questions in hearings. Clients see him as focused on the tasks at hand: putting evidence to the test, negotiating where appropriate, and proceeding to trial when necessary. His style is pragmatic; he aims to balance legal options against the practical realities clients face.
Davis is licensed to practice in Texas and conducts his work from Casey Davis Law. He remains active in local bar activities and the regional legal community. He currently practices criminal law through Casey Davis Law, representing clients in Texas criminal matters.
