About Carrie
Carrie Fulton-Brown earned her law degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2010 after completing a master's degree in political science there in 2007. She began her undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, Bothell, graduating in 2004 with a B.A. in Law, Society and Justice. Those years in Seattle shaped an interest in public service and the practical side of the law.
Her early career was not strictly legal. In 1999 she worked as an analyst for the City of Seattle, a role that exposed her to government operations and municipal processes. She returned to the law community as a volunteer attorney in 2011, offering services through both the King County Bar Association and the Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association. By 2012 she had joined Benjamin & Healy, PLLC as an associate, and three years later she accepted a senior attorney position at Beckwith Law. In 2017 she began working at Vindicate Criminal Law Group, where she continues her practice.
Her memberships trace a clear professional interest. She belongs to the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, both since 2015. She is also a member of the Washington State Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. Local and practice-specific memberships include the Washington Defender Association, Snohomish County Bar Association, Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association, and the King County Bar Association. She has been associated with the Seattle University School of Law as an alumni volunteer and was involved with the Seattle Journal of Social Justice during law school. She also holds membership in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and the National Child Abuse Defense & Resource Center.
The pattern of roles and memberships points to a practice rooted in criminal defense and related matters. Her work at Vindicate Criminal Law Group involves representing clients in state and tribal forums; she is admitted to practice in Washington and in the Puyallup Tribal Court. She has handled cases at multiple stages, from initial representation to courtroom proceedings, and brings courtroom experience gained across several positions.
Outside of casework, she has a background that includes volunteer efforts and bar association participation. Those activities reflect ongoing connection to local legal communities and to professional organizations that address both criminal defense practice and issues around child abuse defense. She currently practices at Vindicate Criminal Law Group, representing clients in criminal defense matters in Washington and before the Puyallup Tribal Court.
