About Carrie
Carrie Dyer built a legal foundation at Capital University Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor in 2013. She completed the rigorous classroom work and practical training typical of the program and left with a formal law degree that launched her career in Ohio's court system.
While still in law school, Dyer gained early exposure to private practice. In 2012 she worked as a summer associate at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. That experience placed her in a large-firm environment and offered a closer look at litigation practice and client work. Records also list a partner role at Mansell Law in 2012, an entry that appears alongside her other early-career positions.
After graduation, Dyer moved into the federal courthouse. In 2013 she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge James L. Graham of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. That year on the bench provided firsthand exposure to federal procedure, opinion drafting and the courthouse rhythm that shapes litigation outcomes.
Dyer is admitted to practice in Ohio and appears in federal court as well. Her admissions include the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. She maintains professional memberships in the American Bar Association and the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association, reflecting engagement with peers and continuing legal education.
Colleagues describe her work as grounded in the mechanics of litigation and court practice. Her externship and early time in firm settings have given her experience on both sides of the courthouse aisle. She has handled matters that require familiarity with federal and state procedure and has navigated filings in multiple Ohio federal districts.
Dyer practices at Mansell Law, where she works alongside other attorneys on matters that proceed through Ohio state courts and the federal courts in the Sixth Circuit. She maintains a practice centered on litigation and court appearances in Ohio and in federal venues.
