About Carli
Carli Bryant took a winding path to the law. She studied political science at Middle Tennessee State University and stayed in the public-policy orbit long enough to decide law school would be the next step. She earned her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2015.
Her first years after graduation were spent learning the practical side of litigation. She handled case preparation and courtroom procedures and learned to translate legal theory into day-to-day work for clients. Over time those early tasks became the foundation for a courtroom practice and client-facing litigation work.
Bryant is active in the bar and legal community. She holds memberships in the Alabama Association for Justice, the Alabama Lawyers Association, the Birmingham Bar Association, the Magic City Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Those memberships have given her regular contact with peers across the state and country and keep her engaged with continuing legal education and local legal issues.
At Cory Watson Lawyers she is part of a team that addresses litigation matters on behalf of individuals. Her responsibilities include case development, briefing, and trial preparation. She works with expert witnesses and coordinates discovery. She also meets with clients to explain the litigation process and to set expectations about timing and possible outcomes. Colleagues describe her as thorough in preparation and careful in courtroom presentation.
Clients and local attorneys know Bryant for steady courtroom work and for attention to procedural detail. She tends to take a methodical approach to cases, breaking complex problems into manageable parts and tracking deadlines closely. That approach helps in contested hearings and in cases that require sustained attention over months or years.
Outside the courtroom she has been involved in local bar programming and community outreach efforts organized through the Birmingham Bar Association and the Magic City Bar Association. Those activities have ranged from CLE presentations to volunteer events for legal-service organizations.
She remains based in Birmingham and practices at Cory Watson Lawyers. Her current practice centers on client representation and litigation at that firm.
