About Carla
Carla Ozuna is a Texas-licensed attorney who practices family law at Soyars & Morgan Law, P.C. She combines a background in economics and philosophy with formal legal training. The result is a methodical approach to client matters and courtroom work.
She earned both her undergraduate and law degrees at St. Mary’s University School of Law, completing a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy before finishing her J.D. The combination of disciplines gave her a foundation in analytical thinking and ethics. Those skills have guided her as she moved from support roles into courtroom practice.
Ozuna began her legal career in 2016 as an Auditor and Legal Assistant at DeSouza Law Office. In that role she handled administrative and document tasks that exposed her to the day-to-day operations of a law practice. The experience provided practical context for the classroom learning and helped her understand how cases progress from intake to resolution.
She stepped into an associate role in 2018 at Donaho & Dockery, P.C. The position involved more direct client work and responsibility for aspects of case preparation and court filings. Her time there served as a bridge between support work and taking primary responsibility for client representation.
In 2019 Ozuna joined Soyars & Morgan Law, P.C. as a family law lawyer. Since then she has worked on matters typical to the field, including dissolution of marriage, child custody and support issues, and related family court proceedings. Her practice blends negotiation and litigation as circumstances require, and she often works to sort through complex financial and personal matters that arise in family disputes.
Licensed by the Texas State Bar, Ozuna practices within the state and is active in courtroom and transactional settings. Colleagues describe her as attentive at hearings and thorough in preparation.
