About Carl
Carl Rothrock built his legal foundations at South Texas College of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 1989. He moved into immigration practice soon after law school and has spent the bulk of his career in that area of law. His early training in Texas courts shaped the way he approaches procedural and evidentiary questions in immigration matters.
He opened Rothrock Immigration Lawyer in 1994 and has served as its owner since then. Over the years he developed credentials that enable national practice before the immigration adjudicative system. He is admitted to appear before all Immigration Courts in the country and before the Board of Immigration Appeals. He also maintains membership in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Texas.
Rothrock’s standing before the Board of Immigration Appeals is listed as a practitioner, a designation that permits him to handle appeals and other matters there. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, South Florida Chapter, a membership he has held since 2018. Those affiliations reflect regular engagement with federal and immigration tribunals and with a community of lawyers practicing similar work.
Although licensed in Texas, he operates a network of offices in Florida. The firm name appears in offices located in Naples, Boca Raton, Fort Myers, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Cape Coral. Those locations support clients across multiple jurisdictions and enable in-person consultations in several South Florida communities.
Colleagues and clients alike describe him as steady and procedural, preferring clear steps over rhetorical flourish. He brings courtroom experience to administrative hearings, and he has handled matters that proceed to appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals. He also files cases and appears in federal district courts when matters intersect with federal litigation.
Today Rothrock continues to represent individuals and families in immigration proceedings. He practices through Rothrock Immigration Lawyer and appears regularly before immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals. His current practice is concentrated on immigration law, where he represents clients in hearings, appeals, and related federal filings.
