About Carl Robert
Carl Robert Weimer followed an unconventional path into law. He began his academic career in journalism, earning a B.S. from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1999. Years later he returned to the same campus for graduate study and completed an MBA. He then moved into legal studies and earned a Juris Doctor from West Virginia University College of Law in 2017. During that period he spent time as a visiting JD candidate at the University of Alabama School of Law.
His early professional steps in law were practical and court-centered. In 2017 he served as a judicial law clerk in the 23rd Judicial Circuit in Madison County, Alabama. That role placed him inside the court system at a formative time in his career. It offered direct exposure to courtroom procedure, evidentiary questions and the daily operations of a trial court.
After his clerkship he entered private practice. By 2019 he had established membership with The Law Office of Weimer & Associates, LLC and began handling matters on behalf of clients. He is a licensed lawyer in Alabama and maintains active membership in the Alabama State Bar. He also participates in the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association and the Madison County Criminal Defense Bar, both of which list him as a member beginning in 2019.
Weimer’s background blends journalism, business and law. The journalism degree provided training in investigation and clear writing. The MBA added management and analytical skills. The combination shapes how he approaches client files and courtroom preparation. It also informs how he organizes casework and communicates with clients, judges and opposing counsel.
Colleagues and court contacts see him as someone who has moved steadily from clerking to representing clients. His time in the 23rd Judicial Circuit remains a touchstone, and his local bar memberships keep him connected to the professional community in Huntsville and Madison County. He has stayed active in local bar groups that focus on criminal defense practice and county-level legal issues.
He practices at The Law Office of Weimer & Associates, LLC in Huntsville. His current work includes representation in criminal defense matters and related court appearances, conducted under his Alabama State Bar license.
