About Carl Norman Anderson

Carl Norman Anderson III built a steady legal path from small-town roots to a multi-jurisdiction practice. He is precise in his approach. He prefers facts and procedure to rhetoric.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Weber State University in 2000, earning a B.S. in Psychology and Spanish. He stayed in the region for law school and earned his J.D. from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 2004. His coursework included litigation skills with a criminal emphasis, an early indicator of the kinds of cases that would occupy his practice.

After law school Anderson entered public service. In 2007 he served as a deputy county lawyer in the Dawson County Lawyers Office. That role placed him in court regularly. It also exposed him to local government matters and routine trial work, building courtroom familiarity that would later inform his private practice.

The year 2012 marked a shift to private practice and outside counsel roles. He took on of-counsel positions at Matheson & Peshell and at Rammell Law. In the same year he formed the Law Offices of Carl N. Anderson, III, PLLC and listed himself as owner. Those moves gave him a mix of firm affiliation and independent practice. They also expanded the range of matters he handled and the types of clients who sought his advice.

What follows from Anderson’s education and early public work is a practice centered on litigation. He handles criminal matters rooted in his law school training and county-level experience. He also takes civil cases that require trial readiness and client counseling. He holds licenses to practice in Nebraska, Utah and Colorado, and that multi-state admission shapes where he accepts matters and how he coordinates cross-jurisdictional issues.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and straightforward in court. Clients have relied on him for both pretrial strategy and courtroom presence. He combines courtroom experience from his county work with years in private practice to prepare cases for trial when that becomes necessary. He maintains professional relationships from his of-counsel roles while running his own firm.

Anderson continues to operate the Law Offices of Carl N. Anderson, III, PLLC and remains active in handling both criminal defense and civil litigation matters across Nebraska, Utah and Colorado. He now focuses his practice on criminal defense and civil litigation across those jurisdictions.
