About Carina

Carina Laguzzi earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and built a steady legal career in Philadelphia and beyond. She moved from law school into public service early in her career and has maintained ties to local legal organizations along the way.

In 2001 she served as an Assistant District Lawyer at the Philadelphia District Lawyer's Office. That early post placed her inside the city's courthouse system and provided a foundation for courtroom practice and case handling. The role exposed her to the routines of public prosecution and the pressures of day-to-day litigation.

Two years later she started her own firm. In 2003 she became President and Owner of Laguzzi Law, P.C., where she has overseen the firm's operations and client work since. Running a small firm required moving between client meetings, court calendars, and the administrative tasks that keep a legal practice functioning. Over time that work expanded the firm's presence in both state and federal forums.

She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and holds admissions that allow her to appear before several federal appellate bodies. Her admissions include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the Federal Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Those credentials reflect an ability to present matters at multiple levels of the judiciary, from trial courts in her home state to appellate tribunals.

Outside of casework she remains active in professional groups. She serves on the executive committee of the PACDL Philadelphia Chapter and holds memberships in the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, and a Hispanic Bar Association. Those affiliations connect her to colleagues across criminal defense, civil litigation, and community-focused bar activities.

Her career path shows a move from a public office into private practice, carrying courtroom experience into a firm she founded and manages. Today she continues to operate Laguzzi Law, P.C., representing clients in the state and federal courts where she is admitted. Her current practice centers on representation in those state and federal courts.
