About Carey
Carey Parker pursued a path that began in the liberal arts and moved into law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Nazareth College in 2001 and completed a minor in Women’s Studies the same year. After several years away from campus she returned to study law, graduating from New England Law | Boston in 2006.
Parker’s legal training in Boston coincided with a period when administrative and benefits law drew increasing attention. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and, by 2012, was working as a lawyer at Keefe Disability Law. There she handled claims and administrative matters related to disability benefits, gaining practical experience in hearings, appeals, and client counseling.
Her background in psychology and women’s studies informs how she approaches clients and cases. The undergraduate work provided perspective on human behavior and social context. The law degree supplied the procedural tools and the doctrinal foundation needed for administrative advocacy. Those strands come together in matters where legal outcomes depend on medical evidence, vocational assessments, and clear presentation at hearings.
Colleagues and former clients describe Parker as methodical and steady. She has worked on cases that require careful review of medical records and precise preparation for administrative proceedings. She has also navigated the paperwork and deadlines that define benefits advocacy. The practical demands of that work shaped her day-to-day practice and her approach to client communication.
Outside the office she has maintained ties to legal education through continuing legal education programs and local professional events. Those activities have kept her current on changes to administrative procedure and benefit program rules. She brings that up-to-date knowledge into case preparation and oral advocacy.
As of 2026 Parker continues to practice law in Massachusetts. Her current work concentrates on disability benefits and related administrative proceedings in the state.
