About Candace M.

Candace M. Williams has combined government experience and private practice in a career that spans the Capitol and the courtroom. She is licensed in Georgia and has worked in both legislative offices and law firms. Those early stops shaped how she approaches legal work.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brenau University, graduating cum laude after a double major in political science and history. A few years later she attended Mississippi College School of Law and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2002. The timeline of study and early work placed her amid politics and law at the same time, and she moved between internships, staff work and legal training as she prepared for practice.

Her work in Washington came first. In 1996 she spent a summer in Congressman Nathan Deal’s office. In 1998 she served as a legislative assistant for former Congressman Bob Barr, where she handled research and constituent matters for a House office. Those roles exposed her to federal legislative processes and the day-to-day demands of public service. While in law school she took a law clerk position in 2001 at Hearn and Thomas, PC, an experience that acquainted her with the mechanics of legal practice and client representation.

After law school she entered private practice. In 2002 she joined Coleman, Chambers, Rogers, and Williams, LLC as a partner. That move came at the start of her full-time legal career and marked a shift from staff and internship roles to firm leadership and client work. Over the years she has combined litigation and advisory tasks, drawing on her background in government and law.

Today she operates under Candace M Williams, P.C. Her practice reflects a mix of skills developed across different settings: legislative research, case preparation, and firm management. Colleagues describe her as pragmatic and steady in handling client matters. She is active in professional circles in Georgia and maintains ties to the legal community there.

She continues to accept matters through her office in Georgia and handles cases that touch on regulatory questions and client needs that intersect with government and legal systems. Her current practice focuses on serving individuals and businesses on matters that require both legal analysis and an understanding of public policy.
