About Cameron J.
Cameron J. Tario practices law in Minnesota, handling matters that reach both state and federal courts. He is admitted to the Minnesota bar, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota and the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. He maintains an office at Valley Office Park where he meets with clients and prepares cases for court.
Following his legal education, Tario began working in Minnesota's legal community. Over time he developed experience in bankruptcy proceedings and related litigation. He has appeared in both the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota and the federal District Court, representing parties on motion practice, adversary proceedings and contested hearings. He handles both contested and non-contested matters and navigates procedural and evidentiary issues that arise in those forums.
Tario’s work covers a range of insolvency-related matters. He represents creditors and debtors in chapter 7, chapter 11 and chapter 13 cases, negotiates workouts and advises on claims and distributions. He also assists trustees and private parties in resolving disputes over assets, exemptions and priority claims. Much of his practice involves drafting pleadings, preparing disclosure statements and plans, and advocating for clients at confirmation and status hearings.
In bankruptcy-related litigation he takes on adversary proceedings, preference actions and contested valuations. He also addresses related commercial disputes that overlap with insolvency issues, including enforcement of security interests and claims objection practice. In federal court he has worked on matters that require coordination between district and bankruptcy dockets, including jurisdictional questions and removal practice.
Colleagues describe Tario as steady in the courtroom and methodical in preparation. He approaches each matter with attention to procedural detail, often focusing on timely filings and clear presentation of evidence. Clients include small businesses, individual debtors and secured creditors. He regularly reviews client financial documentation and develops practical steps to move cases toward resolution or trial, depending on the circumstances.
Outside of hearings he spends time negotiating settlement terms, structuring repayment plans and advising on the practical effects of bankruptcy on business operations. He keeps current on changes in bankruptcy rules and local practice in the District of Minnesota. He currently concentrates his practice on bankruptcy, restructuring and related litigation in Minnesota.
