About Cambridge L.

Cambridge L. Baker earned her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2018 after completing undergraduate studies at Elon University in 2012. Her academic background combined political science, international studies, Latin American studies and Spanish. Those subjects provided a broad base before she entered practice in Virginia.

Baker became a member of the Virginia State Bar in 2018 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She appears regularly in both state and federal forums and maintains active membership in several professional organizations that reflect an interest in trial and appellate work.

Her practice has followed a steady progression through Virginia firms. She began her legal career as an associate at Livesay & Myers, P.C. in 2018. In 2020 she moved to Roop Xanttopoulos Babounakis & Klam, PLLC where she handled a range of matters as a lawyer. In 2023 she joined AMG Law PLC and holds the title of senior lawyer there. Across these roles she has worked on litigation matters in state and federal courts.

Outside the office, Baker has been active in local and statewide bar groups. She has belonged to the Fairfax Bar Association since 2019 and holds membership in the Loudoun County Bar Association beginning in 2023. Her enrollment in the Virginia Women Lawyers Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, both since 2019, signals engagement with peers focused on trial advocacy and issues affecting women in the profession.

Colleagues describe a lawyer who approaches cases methodically and who prepares thoroughly for court appearances and filings. She has experience managing casework from intake through motions practice and hearings in trial and appellate settings. Her courtroom work draws on admissions to both district and circuit-level federal courts as well as state practice in Virginia.

In her current role at AMG Law PLC, Baker divides time between courtroom representation and appellate filings, attending to litigation strategy and written advocacy. She is admitted to practice in Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the Fourth Circuit, and she focuses her practice on representing clients in state and federal matters.
