About Caleb R.
Caleb R. Stiles took a direct route into law and into practice. He earned his J.D. from Oklahoma City University School of Law, with the degree conferred in 2018. His legal training grounded him in the practical work of a law office and prepared him for roles that blended in-house counsel duties and private practice.
He began his post-law school career in 2018 as Legal Department Manager and lawyer for The Salvation Army, Arkansas-Oklahoma Division. In that capacity he ran day-to-day legal operations for a regional nonprofit. He advised leadership, managed legal workflows and handled matters that arose across the division’s footprint. The job gave him experience working inside an organization rather than only representing outside clients.
In 2020 he launched Stiles Legal, PLLC. Starting his own firm allowed him to take direct responsibility for client matters and office management. The practice was an opportunity to apply what he had learned in-house to the challenges private clients bring to a small firm.
A year later, in 2021, he also joined Gies Law Office, PLLC as a partner. That step expanded his practice environment and exposed him to new cases and different client needs. He has balanced roles in his own practice and in partnership settings, moving between solo practice responsibilities and collaborative law office work.
Colleagues describe him as someone who moves easily between organizational counsel and client-facing representation. He draws on his experience managing a legal department when he evaluates risk, frames legal questions and organizes a case file. His background gives him perspective on how institutions operate and how that perspective might affect negotiations or dispute resolution.
Stiles is admitted to practice in Oklahoma. He continues to base his work in the state, working out of Stiles Legal PLLC. His career to date spans nonprofit in-house counsel, running a private practice, and partnership in a law office. He currently practices at Stiles Legal PLLC, where his work focuses on client representation and legal counsel that reflect both his in-house and private-practice experience.
