About C. Jacob
C. Jacob Davis is an attorney licensed in both Tennessee and Ohio. He earned a B.S. in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University in 2012 and a J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2019. Those degrees set the groundwork for a practice that blends transactional work and planning for individuals and businesses.
After law school, Davis entered private practice and built experience across business, real estate and estate planning matters. He joined Nalls Davis in 2022, where his title is Business, Real Estate, and Estate Planning Lawyer. At the firm he handles matters typical to those practice areas, including transactional documents, property matters and planning tools used to organize personal and business affairs.
Davis is admitted to practice in Tennessee and Ohio. He also holds a license to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Those credentials support work that crosses state lines, particularly for clients whose operations or holdings span the region. He maintains memberships in several professional organizations, among them the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association and the Dayton Bar Association.
Clients and colleagues describe his work as straightforward and practical. He spends time on contract drafting and negotiation for businesses. He assists with real estate transactions, from purchase agreements to title considerations. And he prepares estate planning documents intended to reflect clients’ wishes while addressing tax and succession concerns. His approach is procedural. He emphasizes clear documents and predictable steps.
Outside of client work, Davis remains engaged with bar activities in both states. He participates in local bar programming in Dayton and follows developments in federal practice through his admission to the Southern District of Ohio. He joined Nalls Davis in 2022 and continues to practice there. He currently focuses his practice on business transactions, real estate matters and estate planning.
