About Buck
Buck Johnson built a varied academic foundation that led him to law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Spring Hill College in 2000 and stayed there to complete an MBA in 2001. He then went on to Texas Tech University School of Law and received his J.D. in 2004.
He began his legal career the same year as a litigation associate at Cowles & Thompson. The next step took him into public service; in 2005 he joined the Dallas County District Lawyer's Office as an assistant district lawyer. That early courtroom work provided steady exposure to trial procedure and the rhythms of criminal litigation. In 2009 he moved into private practice at The Wilder Firm before opening his own practice in 2010 under the name Buck Johnson Law.
Over the years Johnson has appeared in state courts across Texas and in federal court. He is licensed in Texas and admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. Those admissions mean he handles matters that start in county courtrooms and sometimes proceed to federal dockets.
