About Bryan
Bryan Goodman earned his J.D. from the University of South Dakota in 2006 after studying philosophy as an undergraduate at Morningside College. He moved into criminal defense soon after law school. Early courtroom experience and academic training set the course for a practice centered on trial work and client advocacy in state court.
Goodman began his legal career at the Office of the State Public Defender in 2006. There he handled a broad mix of criminal matters for clients who could not afford private counsel. That work reinforced courtroom skills and an emphasis on case preparation. In 2014 he opened Goodman Law Office, LLC, shifting from public defense to private practice and bringing his trial experience into the local legal market.
Over the years Goodman has maintained active membership in professional organizations that align with his caseload. He joined the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Iowa Bar Association in 2006. In 2014 he became a member of the National College for DUI Defense and, two years later, the DUI Defense Lawyers Association. He also belongs to the Woodbury County Bar Association.
