About Brya
Brya Keilson earned her law degree from Villanova University School of Law in 2004. She moved quickly from graduation into a practice centered on bankruptcy and insolvency law. Her legal education set a foundation for courtroom work and complex creditor-debtor matters.
Early in her career Keilson served as a trial lawyer for the U.S. Trustee. In that role she handled contested matters in bankruptcy court and represented the interests of the U.S. Trustee in enforcement proceedings. The position gave her regular trial exposure and a chance to develop litigation skills tied closely to bankruptcy procedure and practice.
Keilson is admitted to practice in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She has been active in local and national insolvency circles. She served as chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association Bankruptcy Committee and continues to participate in the committee’s work. Her service extends to board roles, including membership on the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court and on the Philadelphia network of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation. She also sits on the steering committee for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference.
Those organizational ties reflect a steady involvement in the professional life of the bankruptcy bar. She often appears at conferences and panels that bring together judges, trustees and practitioners. Colleagues describe her as someone who understands both the procedural rules and the practical pressures that drive restructuring and liquidation cases.
Keilson now practices at Morris James LLP. Her work spans contested matters, restructuring negotiations and creditor representation. She handles bankruptcy litigation and advises clients on insolvency-related strategy. She combines courtroom experience from the U.S. Trustee’s office with private-practice problem solving.
Outside of litigation she remains engaged in professional education and bar activities. She continues to serve on boards and committees that shape bankruptcy practice in the region. Her current practice focuses on bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring matters.
