Bruce Wagner Hogan is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in December 1975. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Hogan is a partner at Kingston, Martinez & Hogan LLP, a law firm specializing in commercial collections, located at 1300 Santa Barbara Street, Second Floor, Santa Barbara, CA 93101-6041. He has been practicing law for over 50 years, serving clients throughout the California Central Coast region, including Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, and Kern counties.
Mr. Hogan earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1975, where he was a member of the law review. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Amherst College, graduating in 1969. During his time at Amherst, he was actively involved in campus organizations and developed a strong foundation in liberal arts education.
Mr. Hogan concentrates his practice in the area of commercial collections. He represents business creditors in matters involving accounts receivable and complex commercial litigation. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. He has extensive experience in enforcing judgments and recovering debts for businesses across various industries.
Throughout his career, Mr. Hogan has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Santa Barbara, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Santa Barbara for several years.
Mr. Hogan is an active member of the Santa Barbara County Bar Association, where he served as the chairperson of the Creditor-Debtor Section. He is also a member of the Commercial Law League of America. He has contributed to the legal community by participating in seminars and workshops on commercial collections and creditor rights. Mr. Hogan is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of the California Central Coast effectively.
