Bruce A. Schonberg is the founder of Schonberg Law Offices of the Hudson Valley, P.C., located in Central Valley, New York. He has been practicing law since 1985, focusing on personal injury and criminal defense cases. The firm operates offices at 209 State Route 32 in Central Valley, 2717 Broadway in Newburgh. 13 Market Street in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Schonberg earned his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 1984, graduating with high honors.
Prior to establishing his own practice, he served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in Orange County, New York, from 1985 to 1990, handling both felonies and misdemeanors. He also represented insurance companies such as Allstate, Nationwide, and State Farm for nine years, gaining experience in personal injury claims. In 2004, he founded Schonberg Law Offices of the Hudson Valley, P.C., focusing exclusively on representing individuals injured in car accidents and other personal injury incidents. The firm handles cases involving auto, truck, and motorcycle accidents, slip and fall incidents, nursing home neglect, work-related accidents, construction mishaps. DWI/DUI charges. Mr. Schonberg is admitted to practice in New York (1985), the U.S.
District Court for the Northern District of New York (1992), and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (2000). He is also licensed in New Jersey (2020). He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the New York State Defenders Association. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Schonberg has been involved in local government. He has served as a Town Justice for the Town of Woodbury and as a Village Judge for Harriman, New York.
He has also been active in community organizations, including coaching for the Monroe Woodbury Soccer League and serving on the Board of Trustees for Temple Beth El in Monroe, New York.
