About Bruce Brian

Bruce Brian Dizengoff built a career that moves between government service, teaching and private practice. He earned a J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1988 after completing undergraduate studies in Administration of Justice at Pennsylvania State University. Those early academic choices set a clear path toward immigration law and public service.

His first post-law school role was as a judicial law clerk at the Superior Court of New Jersey in 1988. A year later he joined the U.S. Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service, where he served as deputy district counsel and assistant district counsel. Those years gave him direct exposure to removal proceedings and the administrative side of immigration enforcement.

Dizengoff moved into senior government litigation in the early 2000s. By 2003 he was an assistant chief counsel at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. That position placed him on the enforcement side of immigration law, handling complex cases and supervising other attorneys. He later entered private practice and worked as a lawyer at Greg Prosmushkin, P.C. beginning in 2014.

He also spent time in academia. In 2016 he taught as an adjunct professor at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. His classroom work drew on years of courtroom and administrative experience, and he brought practical perspectives to students studying law-related subjects.

In 2019 he became a partner at Dizengoff & Yost, a firm where he continues to practice. He has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and its Philadelphia chapter. That professional involvement coincided with his transition from government roles to sustained private practice and occasional teaching.

Dizengoff’s work covers the range of immigration practice. He has experience on both sides of the system: representing clients in removal proceedings, assisting with waivers and petitions, and working through administrative appeals. His background in federal agencies informs his approach to cases that involve agency records and prosecutorial decisions.

His casework often requires familiarity with federal court filings and procedural nuances in immigration courts. Colleagues describe him as someone who understands the practical pressures of government litigation as well as the procedural tools available to private practitioners.

He now practices immigration law at the Law Offices of Dizengoff and Yost, where his practice concentrates on immigration-related litigation and administrative proceedings.
