About Brooke

Brooke Irey built her legal foundation at Texas Christian University and South Texas College of Law. She earned a B.S. in political science from Texas Christian University in 2004, then completed her J.D. at South Texas College of Law in 2007. Those years shaped her route into Texas law and the professional circles she would later join.

Her career has been steady and centered in family law. Early on she became involved in local bar groups and section work. From 2008 through 2020 she participated in the Family Law Section of the San Antonio Bar Association. She joined the Texas Family Law Foundation in 2018 and has been a member of the Family Law Bar Association of San Antonio since 2020. Since 2007 she has also held membership in an organization that includes Family Law and REPTL sections.

Those affiliations have provided a venue for case discussion and professional development. She has used committee meetings and section events to stay current on procedural changes, custody developments and property division issues. Colleagues describe her as steady in court and methodical in preparing filings. She handles hearings and settlement negotiations with an eye toward practical outcomes for clients.

Her practice focuses on disputes that touch family relationships and assets. She handles contested matters such as divorce, child custody, spousal maintenance and related property issues. She also works on pre- and post-judgment motions, discovery matters and settlement agreements. Her approach is procedural and client-centered; she prioritizes clear timelines and documented exchanges so cases move forward without unnecessary delay.

In the San Antonio legal community she has kept a visible presence through local bar sections and foundation involvement. That activity has meant speaking at or attending CLE programs, mentoring newer attorneys in section work and tracking legislative updates that affect family law. She has moved from section participation into other roles that keep her connected to practitioners across the region.

She practices at Branch Law Office and takes cases in Texas courts. Her work today is concentrated on family law matters, where she represents clients in both negotiation and litigation stages.
