About Brody
Brody McBride trained in two different parts of the country. She took her undergraduate degree at the University of Utah and earned a J.D. from California Western School of Law. Those schools gave her a mix of western legal perspectives and practical training in trial skills and litigation theory. Her academic path set a clear course toward courtroom work.
After law school she built a practice centered in California. She is admitted to practice in California and before the Ninth Circuit. That dual admission allows her to bring cases in state court and to pursue appeals and federal matters that reach the appellate bench. She belongs to professional organizations that align with that work. She maintains memberships in the Consumer Lawyers of San Diego and the National Police Accountability Project, participation that connects her to colleagues who handle consumer protection and civil rights matters.
Her caseload reflects those affiliations. She takes on cases involving consumer complaints and civil claims arising from police conduct. She files complaints, manages discovery, and argues motions in trial courts. She also handles federal filings and prepares appeals when cases move beyond the trial level. Her practice combines individual client representation and litigation that engages institutional defendants and governmental entities.
Brody McBride practices under the name Brody McBride Law. She litigates in state courts across California and in federal court when matters warrant it. She appears in the Ninth Circuit on appeals that grow out of the firm’s trial work. Her routine includes drafting pleadings, negotiating settlements in some matters, and pursuing trial when settlement is not possible. She works from her office to coordinate expert reports, marshal evidence, and prepare witnesses for testimony.
Colleagues describe her as practical and straightforward in court filings and hearings. She prioritizes clear legal writing and factual presentation. Outside the courtroom she participates in the networks provided by her professional memberships, attending meetings and workshops that focus on advocacy and the evolving law in consumer and accountability cases.
Her current practice at Brody McBride Law centers on litigation in California and federal courts, including work that advances consumer protection claims and civil actions related to police conduct.
