About Brittany D.

Brittany D. Kozal practices law in the Midwest and moves easily between two state courts. She is an attorney at Frankel, Rubin, Klein, Dubin, Siegel & Payne, P.C., where she handles cases that often involve both Missouri and Illinois law. Colleagues describe her work as steady and exacting. Her background is rooted in St. Louis, where she completed both undergraduate and legal studies.

Kozal earned her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2006. She previously completed a bachelor’s degree in political science and pre-law at Saint Louis University in 2001. Those years on campus shaped her understanding of the mechanics of government and the role of law in public life. Classwork and clinic opportunities at the law school gave her practical training in drafting, research and courtroom procedure.

After passing the bar in both Missouri and Illinois, Kozal built experience across routine and complex matters that require careful procedural handling. Working in two jurisdictions means managing different filing rules, varied court calendars and distinct substantive statutes. She has developed a practice that anticipates those differences and prepares filings and hearings accordingly.

Her professional life has centered on serving clients at an established regional firm. At Frankel, Rubin, Klein, Dubin, Siegel & Payne, P.C., Kozal contributes to a range of engagements that require coordination between counsel, courts and administrative bodies. Her role has involved preparing court papers, advising on jurisdictional questions and supporting trial preparation when cases proceed to hearing. She is also involved in the day-to-day case management that keeps matters moving forward.

Kozal’s approach is methodical. She places emphasis on clarity in written work and on timely communication with clients and opposing counsel. That attention to detail aims to reduce procedural delays and to keep disputes focused on the central issues.

Outside of casework, she remains connected to the legal community where she trained. She continues to draw on the network and resources built during her years at Saint Louis University.

She currently practices at Frankel, Rubin, Klein, Dubin, Siegel & Payne, P.C., handling matters that require work in both Missouri and Illinois courts.
