About Bridget
Bridget Long built her career around the courtroom. She earned her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1998 and has practiced in Virginia since the start of her legal career.
After law school she began work as a trial lawyer at Marks & Harrison in 1998. Those early years were spent learning the mechanics of litigation. She handled motions, prepared witnesses and took cases to trial. The work established a pattern: Long returned to the jury box again and again.
In 2013 her resume lists a trial lawyer role at Allen, Allen, Allen and Allen. That move placed her at a firm known for heavy trial dockets and complex civil matters. Across both positions she built steady courtroom experience. Colleagues remember her for methodical preparation and a direct style in the courtroom.
Outside the office she has taken on leadership roles in professional organizations. She serves as Treasurer of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, a position she holds currently. She also served as a Governor of the American Association for Justice from 2012 to 2013. Those posts have kept her engaged in the profession beyond individual cases. She has worked on budgets and governance, and appeared at association events where policy and practice intersect.
Long’s practice centers on litigation in Virginia courts. Her background is squarely trial-focused, and her work reflects years spent in contested proceedings. She represents clients in civil matters that require courtroom advocacy and trial-level strategy. Her current practice concentrates on civil litigation and trial work in Virginia.
