About Brianna
Brianna McCovey built her legal foundation at two institutions on opposite coasts. She earned a J.D. (2019) from American University Washington College of Law after completing undergraduate studies in political science at the University of California, Irvine, where she received a B.A. (2016).
Her time in law school included the standard mix of coursework and practical training that shapes a trial lawyer’s early years. Classrooms in Washington, D.C. exposed her to federal law and policy debates, while clinics and externships offered practical experience. Those years culminated in a law degree in 2019 and the transition back to California’s legal community.
McCovey is admitted to practice in California. Since returning to the state, she has worked in private practice and taken assignments that required courtroom preparation, client counseling, and written advocacy. She handles the nuts and bolts of case development: drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and preparing motions for trial courts.
At Quintilone & Associates she joined a team that works across a range of matters. Her daily work includes client conferences, coordinating discovery, and managing procedural deadlines. She has experience taking depositions and preparing witnesses for hearings. In the office she balances research and drafting with the logistical tasks that keep litigation moving forward.
Colleagues describe her work style as methodical. She breaks complex problems into manageable parts. She pays attention to timelines and evidence. In court she aims for clarity in argument and precision in procedure. Those habits serve both clients and opposing counsel when cases require brisk, organized handling.
Outside the courtroom she continues to develop practical skills that younger attorneys often acquire through hands-on assignments: motion practice, settlement negotiations, and case strategy meetings. She keeps current on developments in California law that affect daily litigation practice.
She currently practices at Quintilone & Associates in California. Her practice centers on litigation and client counseling.
