About Brianna M.
Brianna M. Duda earned her law degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2020 after completing undergraduate studies in socio-political communication at Missouri State University in 2017. She worked as a law clerk during law school, gaining early exposure to disability rights matters at Disability Rights Nebraska in 2018. Those experiences helped shape her understanding of public systems and the clients who rely on them.
After law school she moved quickly into public defense. In 2020 she served as a deputy public defender in York County, where she handled a range of misdemeanor and felony matters at the trial-court level. The following year she joined the King County Department of Public Defense. There she spent time in client interviews, case preparation and courtroom advocacy across a broad criminal docket. Those positions put her in frequent contact with indigent clients and gave her repeated experience in fast-paced litigation settings.
Her work in public defense is balanced by an interest in civil matters that affect families and individuals over the long term. In 2024 she became an associate at View Ridge Family Law & Estate Planning. That move represented a shift from exclusively criminal work to a practice that includes divorce, custody and estate planning matters. Earlier experience at a disability rights organization also informs how she approaches cases that involve guardianship or disability benefits.
Duda is licensed to practice in both Nebraska and Washington. Courtroom work and client counseling both appear in her background. She has handled plea negotiations, intake assessments and trial preparation. She has also prepared estate planning documents and advised clients on practical issues that accompany family law matters. Her years in public defense gave her repeated opportunities to try cases and to manage heavy caseloads under tight deadlines.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and direct in court. She is accustomed to explaining complex legal points to clients who have little prior contact with the justice system. That combination of courtroom experience and civil practice experience shapes how she approaches client matters at View Ridge.
She currently practices family law and estate planning in Washington.
