About Brianna L.

Brianna L. Schaefer followed a course from the social sciences into the law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Sciences from the University of Northern Colorado in 1998. That foundation in human behavior shaped her approach at law school. She returned to the classroom in Springfield and completed her Juris Doctor at Western New England College School of Law in 2002.

Her education paired two perspectives. The undergraduate degree emphasized how people think and interact. The law degree introduced doctrine, procedure and client advocacy. At law school she encountered the practical work of lawyering: researching, writing and arguing points in court and clinic settings. Those experiences provided tools she has used throughout a career that began after graduation.

Schaefer built a practice grounded in careful fact-gathering and direct client contact. Colleagues and clients describe an attorney who listens before speaking. She asks questions aimed at drawing out facts that matter. That method reflects her training in psychology as much as it does traditional legal training. Interviewing clients and assessing witness accounts are routine parts of her work.

Her career has involved steady work on individual matters and client counseling. She has handled case intake, negotiations and courtroom appearances. She is comfortable crafting written arguments and preparing witnesses. Over time she developed habits that many attorneys rely on: clear organization, thorough preparation and an emphasis on practical solutions. She also keeps attention on procedural details that can determine outcomes in litigation and transactional work alike.

Beyond the technical side of law, Schaefer places importance on the client relationship. She aims to explain legal options in plain language. She centers conversations on realistic outcomes and the steps needed to reach them. That approach guides how she prepares clients for hearings, mediations and settlement talks.

As of 2026 she remains an active practitioner. She continues to combine her undergraduate training in psychology with her legal education when advising and representing clients. She currently focuses her practice on client representation and legal counseling.
