About Brian Xavier

Brian Xavier Pendergraft earned his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2013 after completing undergraduate studies in philosophy and religion at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University in 2010. He took a conventional route through law school, finishing his J.D. shortly after his undergraduate work. The record of dates suggests a steady progression through higher education and into the legal profession.

He launched his own practice in 2014, forming The Pendergraft Firm LLC. That step came a year after finishing law school and signals an early move into private practice and firm management. Running a small firm requires juggling casework, client relations and the administrative side of a business. Pendergraft has handled those tasks while maintaining memberships in professional organizations and expanding the firm’s presence across two jurisdictions.

Pendergraft is active in the bar community. He has been listed with the Maryland State Bar Association since 2013 and joined the D.C. Bar Association in 2015. Those memberships align with the jurisdictions in which he is authorized to work: Maryland and the District of Columbia. Participation in state and local bar associations is a common way for lawyers to stay current on legal developments and to connect with peers and referral sources.

Over the years he has taken on the responsibilities that come with building a practice in competitive legal markets. Opening a firm in 2014 required him to develop a client base and manage matters across two neighboring jurisdictions. That work includes court filings, client consultations and the routine demands of advising individuals and organizations on legal questions. His professional path reflects a blend of courtroom exposure and office-side legal work.

Pendergraft’s academic background in philosophy and religion followed by a law degree shapes how he approaches legal problems. The undergraduate study likely exposed him to analytical and ethical reasoning that can be useful in legal analysis. Since establishing The Pendergraft Firm LLC he has continued to practice law in the District of Columbia and in Maryland, maintaining active ties to the bar associations that represent lawyers in those areas. He currently represents clients in matters arising in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
