About Brian
Brian Wright trained in Georgia and has worked in its courts for more than two decades. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Oglethorpe University in 2001, then moved on to The University of Georgia School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2004. Those years laid a practical foundation. Classrooms and campus activities gave way to courtroom hallways and clerk’s offices.
Straight out of law school he took a position as a law assistant to the Superior Courts of Georgia in the Conasauga Circuit. The role placed him close to trial dockets and courtroom procedure. He assisted judges and learned how cases move from filing to disposition. That early experience shaped his sense of how litigation works on the ground.
In 2006 he entered private practice as an associate at Minor, Bell and Neal, P.C. There he handled matters typical of a small firm practice, appearing before state tribunals and managing client files. The work was the kind of steady case-by-case practice that builds courtroom familiarity and practical judgment.
By 2012 he moved to The Cowan Law Office, LLC. He remains listed there as a lawyer. The change reflected a transition to a different office environment and client base. Over time his day-to-day work has included drafting pleadings, attending hearings, and advising clients on procedural and substantive law questions.
He joined the State Bar of Georgia in 2005 and has maintained membership since then. That affiliation keeps him tied to the state’s licensing and continuing legal education system. It also provides the professional scaffold common to attorneys who practice across Georgia’s courts.
Colleagues describe his practice as practical and workmanlike. He approaches matters with attention to the procedural details that determine outcomes in state court. He balances preparation for hearings with efforts to manage caseloads efficiently. He currently practices at The Cowan Law Office, LLC and represents clients in matters across Georgia’s state courts.
