About Brian Wesley
Brian Wesley Farabough studied broadly before law school. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, English and Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005. He then attended SMU Dedman School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 2011. Those years established both the liberal arts foundation and the legal training that inform his work today.
Farabough joined Lovell, Lovell, Isern & Farabough, LLP as an associate following law school in 2011. He worked at the firm through matters that put him before landowners, producers and other client types tied to the energy sector. In 2016 he became a partner at the same firm, taking on expanded responsibilities for client relationships, case strategy and firm leadership. His path through the firm has been steady and marked by increased courtroom and transactional involvement.
He is Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. That credential identifies a concentrated body of work in the legal issues surrounding minerals and energy. He maintains memberships in several local and state organizations related to oil and gas and the bar, including the Amarillo Area Bar Association, the Panhandle Association of Petroleum Landmen, the Panhandle Producers and Royalty Owners Association as a preferred provider, the Texas Bar College and the Texas Bar Foundation. He is also a member of the Kansas Bar Association.
Farabough is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions. Those include the states of Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and federal district courts including the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas and the Western District of Oklahoma. He handles matters that require practice across state and federal forums and has experience presenting issues in both trial and appellate settings.
He remains based at Lovell, Lovell, Isern & Farabough, LLP, where he serves as a partner. His day-to-day work continues to center on legal matters tied to oil, gas and mineral law, and he represents clients in both transactional and contested matters related to those areas.
