About Brian W.
Brian W. Reidy trained at Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he earned his Juris Doctor. He completed law school before stepping into public service in Cook County. That early legal education set the stage for steady moves between government work and private practice.
He began his professional career in 2009 as an Assistant States Lawyer serving in Cook County. That role gave him front-line experience in courtroom work and the day-to-day responsibilities of public legal practice. In 2012 he moved to private practice as a lawyer at LeVine, Wittenberg, Shugan & Schatz Ltd., where he spent time handling matters on behalf of the firm’s clients and gaining familiarity with civil litigation and client counseling in a firm setting.
In 2014 Reidy opened his own practice, Reidy Law Office. He later organized the practice as Reidy Law Office LLC. As owner and principal, he has overseen the management of the firm and its work on behalf of clients. Running a small firm has required him to balance casework with administrative duties. It has also meant direct, ongoing contact with clients and the practical tasks of maintaining a private practice.
Reidy has maintained membership in the Illinois State Bar since 2009. That continuous bar membership aligns with his years of practice in Illinois courts and legal institutions. Over time his work has moved between roles in government, established firm environments, and independent practice. Each setting brought different responsibilities and perspectives on the law.
Colleagues describe him as familiar with courtroom procedure and the operational demands of a solo or small-firm practice. He has experience managing files, preparing filings, and representing clients in hearings and negotiations. His career path reflects a common arc: public service, time at an established firm, and then the transition to his own office.
Today Reidy practices through Reidy Law Office LLC, operating in Illinois and maintaining ties to the professional networks developed during his years in Cook County and at LeVine, Wittenberg, Shugan & Schatz Ltd. He remains an active member of the Illinois State Bar and continues to handle matters for clients from his firm in Illinois.
