About Brian T

Brian T Liberis has practiced law in Massachusetts for several years. He entered the field after completing undergraduate studies at the University of New Hampshire and earning his juris doctor at Suffolk University Law School. Those credentials set the course for a practice centered on tax matters and related regulatory issues.

He began his legal career after law school in Massachusetts. Over time he developed a practice that addresses both individual and business tax concerns. He has taken on matters that require technical analysis of tax codes and practical attention to client needs. Colleagues describe him as methodical in research and concise in courtroom and negotiation settings.

Education and professional development have remained important to him. He maintains an active role in the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Tax Section Council, joining that body in 2006 and remaining a member to the present. That involvement keeps him connected to state and local developments in tax law and offers a forum for discussing rule changes, administrative guidance, and emerging trends among peers.

His work spans dispute resolution, compliance, and planning. He handles audits and represents clients in administrative proceedings. He also advises on the tax implications of transactions and assists clients in organizing records and filings to reduce exposure to penalties. He approaches each matter by parsing statutes and regulations, then translating those technical findings into clear options for clients.

Brian applies a practical view to complex tax questions. He balances statutory analysis with attention to timing, costs, and the business realities of his clients. In litigation or in administrative proceedings he seeks efficient resolution. When matters are best settled, he negotiates terms; when they require litigation, he prepares cases for trial.

Outside of his casework he spends time updating his familiarity with federal and state developments. That includes reviewing new guidance and participating in meetings and programs that discuss tax policy and practice. He also consults on compliance processes, helping clients establish routines that reduce the likelihood of future disputes.

He practices in Massachusetts and represents both individuals and businesses on tax, compliance, and dispute matters. His current practice focuses on tax controversy, compliance counseling, and transactional tax advice.
