About Brian Roy
Brian Roy Carmichael grew up in Alabama and built his legal path close to home. He left the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa with a bachelor’s degree in business management in 1998 and returned a few years later to earn his J.D. from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in 2002. Those educational choices set a straightforward course: study business, then study law, then practice where he knows the people and the rules.
His undergraduate years gave him grounding in how businesses operate and the kinds of problems they face. Law school sharpened that perspective and added courtroom procedure, writing and litigation skill. He graduated from Faulkner University’s law program at a time when many new attorneys either moved away or joined larger regional firms. Carmichael chose to remain part of Alabama’s legal community.
After law school he began practicing in Alabama. Over the years he has worked with clients of different sizes and backgrounds. He now practices at Carmichael Law Group LLC, where he handles matters that arise under Alabama law. He maintains an office presence in the state and works on cases and client matters that require knowledge of local rules and court practices.
