Brian P. Kinder is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2001. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Kinder is the founder and managing partner of The Kinder Law Group, a law firm specializing in intellectual property law, located in Irvine, California. He has been practicing law for over 25 years, serving clients throughout Southern California and internationally.
Mr. Kinder earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2000. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at California State University, Fullerton, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management in 1996. In 2015, he furthered his legal education by obtaining a Certificate of Completion in Mediation from Pepperdine University School of Law.
Mr. Kinder concentrates his practice in the areas of intellectual property law, including trademark registration, trademark infringement litigation, and brand protection. He represents clients in various industries, such as advertising, banking, insurance, publishing, and real estate. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kinder has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Prior to founding The Kinder Law Group, he worked as an associate at Fulwider Patton Lee & Utecht LLP from 2001 to 2005, and as an associate at Foley & Lardner LLP from 2005 to 2006.
Mr. Kinder is an active member of the State Bar of California and the Orange County Bar Association. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in the field of intellectual property law. He is also a certified mediator through the Pepperdine University School of Law. Mr. Kinder is fluent in English, allowing him to serve a diverse clientele effectively.
