About Brett

Brett Buchheit began his professional life in journalism before moving into law. He earned a B.A. in journalism from the University of Connecticut in 1997. That early training shaped his instincts for clear writing and careful questioning, skills he later brought to courtroom work.

He attended Appalachian School of Law and received his J.D. in 2006. A year later he completed an LL.M. at Tulane University School of Law in 2007. Those consecutive degrees deepened his study of civil litigation and procedure and gave him additional academic exposure to federal and state practice.

Buchheit is licensed to practice in Colorado. Over the years he has built a practice around contested civil matters. He moved from academic study into hands-on representation, taking cases through investigation, negotiation and trial when needed. He is comfortable in depositions and on the courthouse steps, as well as in drafting the motions and briefs that shape litigation strategies.

His work is concentrated in personal injury law. He represents individuals in civil claims arising from accidents and injuries. That includes handling client intake, coordinating medical documentation, and pursuing settlements or jury verdicts. He approaches each case with an eye toward factual clarity and legal strategy rather than rote formality.

Buchheit has maintained membership in professional organizations and has listed an active association affiliation dating back to 2008. Those memberships have kept him connected to developments in Colorado practice and to other litigators in the region. He has participated in continuing legal education and professional forums that address changes in tort law and litigation practice.

He practices at Rocky Mountain Personal Injury Lawyers, where his caseload centers on civil claims in Colorado courts. He splits his time between client meetings, case preparation and courtroom appearances. Current practice concentrates on personal injury matters in Colorado courts and related dispute resolution work.
